Our takeBy Jack Beckett
The newest house on this list, finished this year, and the most expensive of the seven. It sits on 0.88 acres a few minutes from both Killington and Pico. The aerial photos show a single roofline in the trees with a long ridge of the Green Mountains behind it.
The listing leans on the volume inside, with a den ceiling it puts at 28 feet and a granite fireplace at the center of the main room. Two details are worth knowing before the photos do their work. The furnished interiors shown are digitally staged, as the images themselves note, and the listing says more than 3,000 square feet of the building is still unfinished space, which a buyer could build out without adding on. At about $686 a square foot for the finished part, that unfinished space is the part a buyer should price in.

“Ceilings soar to 28 feet in the den.”
