Our takeBy Jack Beckett
The sellers named it Panorama. The hilltop setting in Stowe Hollow looks across to Mount Mansfield, Vermont's highest peak, and the listing says the views reach nearly every room.
It is a 1999 Shingle Style house of about 8,000 square feet on 16.76 acres, with three fireplaces and a deck that wraps the house. It is not a ski-town address in the convenient sense: the listing puts it just under 10 miles from Stowe Mountain Resort and 3.8 miles from the village. What it trades for that is the backcountry at the door, with trails into C.C. Putnam State Forest and, a short walk away, swimming holes on Gold Brook. One discrepancy: the summary shows five baths and the description says six.

“Panorama's sweeping vantage of Mt. Mansfield.”
